You need the right rhythms. I need the right rhythms. If we are going to live out our God given purpose and calling, this is not optional – we need the right rhythms in our lives! Not just good intentions. Not just big dreams. We need daily habits that help shape who we are right now, and who we are becoming. We need the right routines. The right patterns. Things that will help keep us growing, developing, and moving forward in our purpose and calling.

Simply put: we need the right rhythms!

I love what it says in Galatians 6:9, “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”

When it comes to living out our purpose and calling, I pray that we would never become weary (lazy, stagnant or complacent), but instead, that we would keep on growing, developing and becoming the best version of us possible, with the help of the Holy Spirit at work in our lives!

Because I believe with all my heart that each of us has a specific purpose and reason we are on this earth. I don’t believe you are here by accident!  I have this firm belief that God has something so special for your life. Something that is unique to who you are and who God has created you to be! Something that cannot be replicated or reproduced.

You are one of a kind. You always have been and always will be.

God has put you on this earth for a reason, and when we live with the right habits, routines – rhythms – we are able to live out our purpose the way God intended us to!

5 areas of our lives that we need the right rhythms:

  • Spiritually.
  • Relationally.
  • Mentally/Emotionally.
  • Physically.
  • Financially.

Here’s the truth though: I don’t believe that we stumble into having great habits in these areas of our lives. I don’t believe it happens by the strong desire alone. I believe growth happens in our lives when we have a plan, and we intentionally live that plan out.

Yes, we are led by the Holy Spirit, but when it comes to our daily habits and the way that we choose to live each day, there must be a level of focus and discipline that we bring to the table to live it out.

So here is my question that I want to leave you with: What rhythms will you develop as you continue in 2026?

Take a few minutes. Think on it. Pray on it. What is an area (or areas) of your life that you want/need to grow in? I believe that the Holy Spirit is so good, that as we pray, He will bring to mind where we can keep growing: spiritually, relationally, mentally/emotionally, physically or financially.

Because if you have read this far, I have to believe this about you: You are a learner. You are a leader. You are someone who wants all that God has for your life!  So, let me encourage you: make the decision that you will be different this time next year, than you are right now. Keep on growing. Keep on developing.

“Do not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
